In June 2014 we were part of Making Places, an exhibition at Pump House Gallery, Battersea, with four artists working with four local schools.

We proposed ‘iSurvive’ – a project encouraging the young people to create¬†futuristic temporary shelters to consider climate change, design processes and the environment.

We ran a series of four workshops with St George’s Primary School, exploring the theme of ‘shelter’ through learning about different environments and the types of temporary shelters often used in them.

The final creations were exhibited on the first floor of the Pump House Gallery, which included a den made by the children for each of the different environments we had been exploring – jungle, desert, water and mountains – as well as ink drawings of den designs, and interactive cards gallery visitors could add their survival tips to.
